Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have another album coming out!  The album will be coming out September 5th in the UK and September 6th in the US and rest of the world on DFA Records!  It is called In The Grace Of Your Love. We recorded it last year with great producer and great friend Zdar in Brooklyn and Paris.  Stay tuned for tour dates, tracklisting and a bunch more updates and info.

Wow, so we didn’t even know about the Rapture coming on May 21st until a week or so ago when people started writing in on our Facebook and Twitter. Decided to look into the Rapture some more and stumbled upon this little gem. An informative and surprisingly pragmatic look at the Rapture. “milk deliveries unmade, Housework will be left undone”

I just finished watching Field Of Dreams again for the first time in many years, it’s the kind of movie you don’t want to end. Reflecting on my own life and the band it’s not that different, I mean following your dreams doing something crazy no one else can see until everyone can see it. Kinda like magic ya know?

The greatest shredder guitar player of all time is Jimi Hendrix, Uli knew this, Eddy knew this. Bask in the glory of the sky guitar, read the mythology, one of the best websites ever made by mankind.

PS. All the Scorpions records with him on them are the missing link between Black Sabbath and Metallica, stop sleeping and wake up

At the first couple shows we played, sans bass player, before Brookes we covered a song by a friends band Go Go Go Airheart called “Stuck on the Beatles.” I have a tape of this somewhere in storage I think, the original that is, not sure if we have a video VHS copy of us playing it live, maybe…

Then of course “Dumb Waiters” by Psycadelic Furs, I remember records shopping in San Francisco and finding this seven inch with that on it and really liking the saxophone line and the idea of saxophone in the band in general. For a while we tried out Vito’s cousin who was super high at practice a couple times and couldn’t really play it. Years later we got Gabe, Hallelujah! Surprisingly we have played this in our set at different times for years.

Next was “Damaged Goods” by Gang of Four. This is when we moved to Seattle. I remember Everett True severely dissing us in the local paper, I remember his saying this was our best song and that I was a “stilted prat,” wow.
We never tried this when Mattie joined the band.

Then came with Mattie in the band a really horrible, usually set ender, “Sex Bomb” by Flipper. I was reading endless Nirvana bio’s trying to figure out how to become famous the Nirvana way and this just seemed like fun. We once played a horrible version of this at the Wild Turkey Breakfast which was to celebrate the Harvard-Yale football game. I remember sleeping on someone’s floor and waking up and start drinking, yilkes. Our roadie Zach did manage to make out with a girl drunk at 10 am which was pretty impressive.

Another time we played a show at some prissy east coast college, we did a bunch of those back in the day and decided to cover “Louie Louie” and some other surf rock jam which I am having trouble remembering right now, instrumental style. This was Max Wowch’s birthday. Now he has his own tee shirt company, but back in the day he was our merch guy for many tours. Sometimes we would go check on the table and someone else would be drinking a beer watching the table, good times, getting paid nothing to play. awesome.

Next came “Rock and Roll Pt2″ By Gary Glitter. We took some crap about the child molester stuff. This ended up being documented at the end of our live video. sweet

Maybe more coming??
