Here’s a video I stumbled upon through our twitter. Some people made a pretty high quality video for our song Out of the Races and Onto the Tracks. It has almost 100,000 hits too! I can’t really figure out why the man is running from the sexy woman in most of the video but I’m glad he figures it out in the end. Check it out above.
The Rapture performing “Time” live at Sound & Fury in New York City, Valentine’s Day in the year 2000.
Our friend BJ posted on his blog Pukekos some great, really early footage of the band. The show he posted took place at a record store called Sound and Fury that was located on Orchard Street just south of Houston. Our friend Jeff Winterberg took some of my favorite live pictures of the band at the show that I have seen pop up from time to time over the years. The strangest place being a giant picture of the show covering a whole wall of a club in Gold Coast, Australia.
This was one of our first shows in NYC and was one of the first times we ever played songs like Heaven or Echoes (which didn’t have a title yet and we were still calling the Liquid Liquid one) It was a really important show for us and it’s great to see it so well documented. Above is a video of a song called Time that was never properly released. Here is the drum tab for Get Myself Into It as requested. It is the basic pattern for the verse. In the chorus I open up the hats on the and of 4 also. I play some different variations throughout the song, mainly opening up the hats and adding a kick on the and of 4. It’s been a long time since I wrote out tabs and I was never that good at it so I hope it makes sense.
So today October 18th is a pretty great day. Not only is it my sisters birthday. It is also the official release day of the new Populette 12″ on Throne of Blood.
